Role setup

A seven-level sales hierarchy on top of standard Odoo groups, with per-role discount limits, an account-transfer wizard and record rules for own / subordinate / team / all visibility.

The seven levels

  • Sales Analyst — read-only: reports, funnel, KPI dashboards.
  • Sales Operator — processes incoming orders on behalf of the assigned manager.
  • Sales Representative — own accounts, quotations, lead capture; default discount limit 5%.
  • Account Manager — own and subordinate accounts; default discount limit 10%.
  • Sales Team Leader — all team accounts and transfers within the team; default discount limit 15%.
  • Sales Manager — all accounts, transfers between managers and teams, no discount limit.
  • Sales Director — sales strategy, pricelists and settings access.

Functional layer, not just groups

On top of the hierarchy: a max-discount constraint on order lines configurable in Sales settings, an account-transfer wizard with role-aware target filtering and a chatter audit log, and record rules that scope res.partner and sale.order visibility per role. Existing group xmlids are preserved, so integrations that reference them keep working.
